Melissa Richardson, PT, MS
Melissa Richardson has a dual BS/MS degree in Physical Therapy from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York. She also has a BA degree in psychology from Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, West Virginia. Her clinical experience has been in pediatrics, primarily with school-age children. She has worked as a physical therapist product consultant for the Adaptivemall.com since 2005. When asked “what is the thing you enjoy the most about helping parents or caregivers?” Melissa said: “It is the “We Understand™” philosophy that makes working for the Adaptivemall.com unique and exceptional. And it is this philosophy that makes a difference to people who put trust in me each and every day.” Melissa works with the child’s caretaker and the therapist(s) to help them make the best equipment choice and improve outcomes. Melissa has a knowledge base and access to professional resources that make this process easier. Although she is a licensed physical therapist, she cannot act in the capacity of the child’s therapist(s). Collaboration with caretakers and healthcare professionals who know the child best helps Melissa gain in-depth knowledge of the child’s medical history and abilities. Addressing and impacting how a child functions at home, school, etc. is her ultimate goal. Melissa’s consultation is free of charge at Adaptivemall.com to improve your equipment selection.
