Becky Orsini, PT

Becky is a licensed Physical Therapist with many years of experience in a variety of clinical settings. After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Simmons College in Boston Massachusetts, she was introduced to the care of children with special needs early in her career at St. Margaret’s House and Hospital for Babies in Albany, New York. It wasn’t until many years later, after raising a family with children of her own that she returned to her first love of working with children and their families. She has spent the last 13 years working for Step by Step Developmental Services in Rochester, NY providing both Early Intervention and Preschool Services in homes and facilities including Daystar for Medically Fragile Infants and Children. Her greatest privilege and joy is to accompany children and their families on their journey as they tackle the challenges and experience the blessings of having a family member with special needs. Experience has taught Becky that having the right equipment can often be the key to helping individuals meet their potential and at the same time ease the demands of care placed on family members. Becky is new to Adaptive Mall and is excited about this opportunity to serve the special needs community!

Becky works with the child’s caretaker and the therapist(s) to help them make the best equipment choice and improve outcomes. Becky has a knowledge base and access to professional resources that make this process easier. Although she is a licensed physical therapist, she cannot act in the capacity of the child’s therapist(s). Collaboration with caretakers and healthcare professionals who know the child best helps Becky gain in-depth knowledge of the child’s medical history and abilities. Addressing and impacting how a child functions at home, school, etc. is her ultimate goal.
